Great lesson!
It’s going to be a great missions trip!
Thanks for your thoughts today on unity (even in the absence of uniformity). Very important, especially in cross-cultural settings!
Good morning. I am here with all of you by internet today.
I am present in todays class. I am not feeling well, but the questions about balancing personal vs. what God wants from you, is difficult for me. Trying to balance sports, work and just family time seems to take everything out of you. I do not want to let down my family, but most of all our Lord. I need to learn to be able to possible disappoint my family because I am going to focus on what I feel the Lord has asked me to do. Knowing what the Lord wants or what I want is also sometime difficult. I do not want to say I am serving the Lord, but really I am serving my guilt for not serving the Lord. I pray that the Lord will help me grow to understand what he wants for me and act on it and not to remove my own guilt of feeling it as been to long since I did service. Allen, thanks for today’s lesson, it hits home for me.
Today’s lesson was very good! I’d like to just say I know a lady that was conceived due to rape. Her mother chose to keep her and parise God for that!. The lady said that she looks just like her biological father, therefore she has had a rather difficult life from her mom due to that fact, but her “dad”, her mom’s husband leaned toward her with kindness and love. He adopted her and gave her his name. I’m thankful to say that the lady doesn’t seem to have any ill feelngs toward her mom for the negative actions that she gave to her daughter during childhood. The lady’s words were “i can understand that everytime she looked at me she saw the man that raped her.” Her words were “Mom was kinda complicated, but I loved her and nursed her until she passed. She gave me life.” This lady also became pregnant at a very young age, but she chose to keep her child and raise it to best of her knowledge
The lady helps with her neice that is severly handicapped, and they knew before this baby’s birth that her medical condition would expensive and bleak, plus that her life span will be short due to her health, But as a close knit family they chose to keep the fetus/baby and care for the baby as best that they could. I thought of her all through this lesson and that scripture that said I had plans for you even before you were in your Mother’s womb. The lady has a very big and giving heart to help others.
Thanks for streaming your lessons, I certainly enjoy joining in with you.
God Bless & Thnks for sharing.
